Resin

 Veeners  There's 2 types,

Resin Veeners and Porcelain Veeners

There are significant differences between both resin techniques:

  • Porcelain veneers are done in 2 appointments with an indirect technique

  • Porcelain veneers are more durable, aesthetic and resistant than resin veneers

  • Resin veneers are done in 1 appointment with a direct technique

  • Porcelain veneers never stain or lose their luster and never change its color

  • Only porcelain veneers can achieve a whiter shade

Resin Veeners  is direct and more agile

The resin veeners takes two one single appointment of 3-4 hours to get done directly in the patient. They are made to last around 7 years. They need mantainance every 3-6 months, this is a professional dental hygiene and a polishment. In case of fracture, the veeners can be restored inmediatly

Porcelain

The Pure Porcelain Veneers  is more aesthetic, more durable and more resistant to fractures than the resin ones.

They are done indirectly. They process takes around 5 days because it requires an impression, a model, and they are done by the lab with an indirect technique. This gives the veneers more precision and better sealing. They never loose the shine and the maintenance is just every 6 months, which is only a professional dental hygiene.

Do you already have resin veneers? Follow all our recommendations so that they last you a long time:

  • Do not bite or tear any food with your front teeth. Do not bite your nails or other objects. Always use your molars to chew.

  • The dental floss must enter deep in the gum, clean and pull forward. We recommend buying waxed floss.

  • Do not drink or eat dark foods or beverages such as coffee, sodas, red wine, sangria, etc. Remember that resins can become pigmented in the middle of the teeth. This is due to the fact that the bacterial plaque that lodges on these surfaces becomes pigmented. However, it is very easy to remove it, you just have to go to the dentist for a maintenance and shine of veneers.

  • Use toothpaste without bleach, activated charcoal, peroxide nor very abrasive with a lot of baking soda. Super recommended Colgate Total 12, or if you suffer from sensitivity use Sensodyne.

  • Go to your local Dentist every 3 months to have a check-up. You should repair any cavities you have and gum problems as this can damage the smile design.

  • We recommend that you come to our office to perform the maintenance. If you can't, you can also do it at your local Dentist.

  • In the event of a veneer fracture, you have a 1-year warranty. Which means that you can come and we will repair it for you at no cost. But you must assume your air and land transportation and your accommodation in our city. So please take good care of them!
